How is it Funded?
Mentoring Services Criteria
- Ages 10-18
- Difficulties in Home, School, and/pr Community Setting
Who Would Benefit?
Do you have a child that is struggling with meeting the expectations within the school setting or community? Is your youth getting into trouble in the community and being placed in the detention center? Are they displaying argumentative behaviors with peers and school officials and on the verge of out-of-school placement? If your answer is ‘yes’ to any of the previous questions, then your child may qualify for our mentoring services.
What are the Goals?
Once enrolled in our mentoring services, the child will work closely with a mentor. The mentor will work closely with the referred source (case manager, court system, Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) to develop goals for the youth. The mentor will ensure that the individual is being introduced to different resources in the community to assist them with presenting issues. The mentor will work with the mentee on the following goals:

Positive resources within the community
Mentoring services can be funded using two different options, through the local CSA or self- pay. Using the first option, the client’s case manager or referral source will submit the necessary information for funding and payment to JRSS. The second option, self-pay, payment will be collected on the day of service, as discussed during the initial meeting.
